The Nomad Artist

It’s been a long while since I wrote a blog post ,so long I even forgot I ever posted them in the past, so I was pleasantly surprised to find them  and decided to write a new one !!!

I completed my masters at the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Art last year, after not having had any formal art education prior and I left with mixed feelings. In many ways I learned amazing things but when one gains one looses and I felt I was starting to be my worse critique ,somehow lost my way in having to fit into boxes of who I am and what my work is about……

Held by the beautiful land in solitude, I healed through creating new work without boundaries.

I experimented in egg tempera with pigments I found and gathered on my walks in the hills, the preparation of handling the egg yolk somehow ritualistic and full of symbolism in its own right.

Deep inner conversations with the land and particularly the waters, leaving offerings and returning what I created back to places I felt strong energetic resonance.

At the moment I am cat sitting in Avalon with the sound of heavy rain in the background.  It feels good to be in the country again though far more populated.

The perfect day to continue painting ….
