Boudicca Queen of the Iceni Tribe

The days where your heart calls out to get into nature, to follow that quite call to be in solitude with the elementals.(Well with my newfoundland dog Willow but she is like my shadow)

No exact plan, driving towards Epping Forest from east London, which I have walked many times in the past 18 Years living here.

So I go with my instinct, drive down little lanes through villages and more lanes, until I know I need to stop. I park the car on the side of the lane and start walking.

After a couple of minutes I notice a huge Obelisk beside an old Oak tree on a hill to my left and have to get up there.

I cross through a farm and slowly walk up.

It is windy, but nothing like the gusts of wind when I arrive standing beside the large stone.

The ground seems to move, my body starts to move and tones come from deep inside me joining a dance with the wind. Willow starts barking and positions herself behind me.

It feels huge whatever this is …a merging of energies. I have no idea what the Obelisks stands for , no signs, all I recall is that in ancient Egypt they were associated with the sun to pierce the sky and often found at the entrance of temples.

We continue across the fields into the woods where I feel I have the honour to join a whole party of beautiful light beings showing themselves in orbs and coloured frequencies.

The smell of the earth must be my favourite smell in the world, closely followed by the smell of the ocean.

Sitting down and listening to the trees.

On the way back I pass a sign indicating a Temple on my left, so for sure I follow the small path up the hill with my old dog getting slower and looking at me saying please not another one…..

No idea what the temple was build for again a beautiful Oak tree right beside, but once I get up there it is aligned with the obelisk and I did find out about that …..

So I found out the Obelisk was put there in honour of Boudicca the Queen of the Iceni’s.

Apparently she died near in battle,  it feels more like her birthplace but hey I am no historian just going with my feelings….So it was her calling me today which is rather exquisite !!!
